The theme of this year’s Juried Show is “Light and Shadows.”

Participants in the Juried Show will be Fredericksburg Art Guild members as well as artists throughout the Texas Hill Country who have submitted their work for judging. A reception honoring the Juried Show’s winners and participants will run from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 3, with awards being announced at 5:00 p.m.

The awards ceremony will recognize “Best in Show,” as well as first, second and third place works in painting and in mixed media. Cash prizes will be awarded. Be sure to stop by to see the fantastic art in a wide range of styles and media.

The juror for the Juried Show is C. S. “Steve” Talley, a well-known local artist whose works can be viewed at Charles Morin Fine Art on Main Street in Fredericksburg. Mr. Talley also spends time in Taos New Mexico.

The artwork of all participants will be on display in the Guild’s Gallery throughout May and will end on June 2. Displayed art will be on sale, with the Fredericksburg Art Guild receiving a 30% commission for any works sold.
