Featured artist: Jeffrey Yentz

The Fredericksburg Art Guild (308 E. Austin Street) presents an intricate, realistic, and detailed series of pen and ink drawings created by featured artist Jeffrey Yentz. The show will be on display for the month of July with an opening reception from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday 07/3.

Jeffrey said, “I chose subjects based on a feel at the cusp of beginning a piece. There is a mood the subject brings to the creative process and as the drawing unfolds the emotions begin telling the story with each pen stroke.”

Originally from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, I finished both architecture bachelor’s and master’s degrees in London with additional coursework in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland. Then 47 years with pen and pencil in hand as an Architect specializing in healthcare architecture with projects from Hawaii in the west to Scotland in the east to Massachusetts in the north and El Salvador in the south I have been blessed with an extensive set of experiences which have stimulated my creativity. So far in 2026 I have been awarded six prizes from various galleries’ shows. My art can be seen on Facebook with usually a new piece each week being posted.

Come and meet Jeffrey, experience his art and enjoy more great art from local artists at the First Friday Artwalk reception on 07/3 or by visiting on another day in July.  The Art Guild, at 308 E. Austin St., is open Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each week.
